Happy Anniversary!

Darren and I got married at the Phoenix Zoo, so we gave our reception tables names instead of numbers. The Zebra Table was the head table.

Meal Plan Monday #42

Our anniversary is this week. We ate Sunday brunch at the Buttes Resort, where we stayed after our wedding. It's becoming a tradition. We are going to eat take out on our anniversary, because week night are so rushed, and we want to celebrate, so we'll go out for a fancy dinner on Saturday.

Sunday: Caesar Salad

Monday: Fish Tacos with Cabbage and Avocado

Tuesday: Take Out - Happy Anniversary!

Wednesday: Grilled Pork Chops and Steamed Broccoli

A few weeks ago, we had crazy weather here in the desert. We had rain, hail, and sleet/snow all within a few hours. Here's the hail covering much of our yard.

I was out of town until last night, so Darren was on his own for several meals recently. I will be cooking tonight and tomorrow night, and then next week, we'll be back on a regular schedule.

Last fall, I drove up to Prescott for the state volleyball tournament. I saw this hot air balloon on the way, and our girls won the championship! What a great day!

We have had lots of really great sales on meat at our Fry's stores lately. Twice recently, they have had chicken on special, buy one get two free. Our freezer has been pretty stocked lately! I can't turn down free food, when I buy chicken weekly anyway.
